Mohiniattam Dance, Sopanam Music, Patanjali Yoga and Indian Philosophy and the desire to propagate Indian culture, to discover the spirituality hidden within these varied Indian art forms and literature, and to spread its message around the world; is the driving force behind Dr. Geeta Radhakrishna Menon! A student of late Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma in Mohiniattam, “Geeta carries forward a blend of tradition and creative excellence. Geeta is well known for adding a different kind of touch to the dance of the enchantress, through methodology and systematisation of the ‘Mohiniattam Adavus and Mudras’ and through thematic dance presentations, focussing on ‘Bhakti’or devotion as its main theme, thereby, raising Mohiniattam to a height of “Sattvikam” or divine serenity.”
